IAM Eastern Territory Chief of Staff was recently honored with the Outstanding Labor Leader Award at the 28th Annual New Jersey Labor Advisory Board Brunch. The annual event raises funds that benefit the Thurgood Marshall College Fund.
Negron was honored for helping to build a foundation for college students that might have opted out of college, or may have had an entirely different college experience without the additional dollars raised to assist them by leaders such as Negron.
“The IAM is so proud to see Juan recognized for his efforts,” said Eastern Territory General Vice President Jimmy Conigliaro, Sr. “We have worked together, side by side for more than 20 years, and he’s been dedicated to helping others his entire career. That is what makes him a great leader and a great unionist.”
