Member from Army Depot Explosion Passes from Injuries

The IAM has been informed of the unfortunate passing of NFFE-IAM member Eric Byers. Byers was severely injured along with two other members in last week’s tragic explosion at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, PA.

Byers had previously been a member of IAM Local 321 and recently transferred to NFFE-IAM Local 1429. He leaves behind a wife and two young children. Please keep his family and his union brothers and sisters in your thoughts and prayers.

The other two injured members remain hospitalized. The IAM will update the situation when information becomes available.

The IAM is committed to working with those involved and providing assistance wherever needed.
