Machinists Making Waves at AFL-CIO Convention

Join Together. Fight Together. Win Together. This is the theme of this year’s AFL-CIO Convention in St. Louis and the IAM and TCU/IAM delegations are well represented.

IAM International President Bob Martinez participated in Day One of the AFL-CIO Convention with the introduction of resolutions on expanding Buy American and protecting manufacturing jobs.

And convention delegates unanimously re-elected AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, Secretary-Treasurer Liz Shuler and Executive Vice-President Tefere Gebre to four-year terms.
