Labor to Rally on the Hill Against TPP Trade Agreement

The IAM will join union activists and the AFL-CIO in a rally on Capitol Hill to voice our members’ opposition to the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Free Trade Agreement.

The rally is scheduled for May 7, 2014 at 1:30 pm in the Upper Senate Park behind the Capitol building.

Like the deeply-flawed North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), TPP promises job growth – but will instead export thousands of U.S. jobs to low-wage countries. The trade agreement, currently being negotiated in secrecy, also threatens key labor, health, safety and environmental standards.
