IAM General Secretary-Treasurer Dora Cervantes has announced the appointment of Cordell Draayers as Grand Lodge Auditor, effective January 1, 2019.
“Brother Draayer is a great addition to our Grand Lodge Auditor staff,” said GST Cervantes. “The knowledge and experience he gained through years of service to his local and district will benefit our members and the GST department.”
Draayers initiated into IAM Local 692 in 1990 working at Finning Tractor in the paint shop. He got involved early in his career serving his Local as an Auditor and was soon elected to the Executive Board as a Trustee and eventually being elected Vice President.
Draayers was elected to serve on the Negotiating Committees in 2000 and 2003 and was also the District 250 Auditor during that time. In 2005 he was elected as the District 250 Secretary-Treasurer.
“Brother Draayers has serviced his district and local lodge as a secretary-treasurer with dedication and loyalty for many years,” said Assistant-Secretary Paul Kendall. “I look forward to having him on the GST team.”
