More than 50 years after the passage of the 1963 Equal Pay Act, Latina working women are currently paid just 54 cents on each dollar paid to their white male counterparts and must work more than 22 months to earn what white men earn in 12 months. This disparity hurts not only Latinas, but also the families and communities they support. In 2017, this is unacceptable. The IAM joins others to reaffirm our commitment to close wage gaps.
