(if additional number of candidates are nominated for the slots in question, a secret ballot vote will be held in November to select the nominee(s) for Local Lodge 2003)

1. To vote for the Local’s nominees, by secret ballot, for ALL business representatives’ positions for District Lodge No. 75. 2. Local Lodge 2003’s constitutional officers, delegates to District Lodge No. 75, and Wiregrass Labor Council, Etc. Will be nominated during the regular meeting at 6:00 P.M.

1. To elect ALL business representatives’ positions for District Lodge No. 75. 2. To elect Local Lodge 2003’s constitutional officers, delegates to District Lodge No. 75, and Wiregrass Labor Council, Etc.

Absentee Ballots:
Article II, Section 3 (page 6, lines 23 – 30 and page 7, lines 1 – 12) Members who reside in outlying districts more than 25 miles from the designated balloting place, members who are either confined because of verified illness or on leave qualifying under U.S. and Canadian family leave laws, or on vacation or on official I.A.M. business approved by the L.L. or D.L. or G.L., or on an employer travel assignment, or reserve military leave, as the case may be, shall be furnished absentee ballots. Members applying for an absentee on the basis of residing in an outlying district more than 25 miles from the designated balloting place, shall have their eligibility to vote by absentee ballot determined by the R.S. and S.T. before the absentee ballots are mailed. Members found not to be eligible to vote by absentee ballot will be notified within ten days of the receipt of their application. Before the absentee ballots are opened and counted, the inspectors of election shall determine the eligibility of members to vote by that method, as defined in this Section, with the exception cited above.
Article XXII, Section 7 (page 85, lines 16 – 29) and Article B (page 103, lines 17 – 30) Absentee ballots shall be issued and voted in accordance with the previsions set forth in Section 3, Article II, in compliance with the following provisions; (1) the written request for the absentee ballot must be received by the R.S. not later than 30 days before the election; (2) the request must contain the member’s full , current address; (3) if the records of the L.L. indicate that the applicant is eligible to vote in the election, the R.S. and S.T. shall within days of the close on nominations, mail the absentee ballot; (4) if the judgment of the R.S. and S.T., the member is not entitled to vote by absentee ballot, the member will be so notified, in writing, within 10 days of receipt of the request for an absentee ballot.
Article II, Section 3 (page 7 lines 24 – 37 and page 8, lines 1 – 7) Members voting by absentee ballot shall execute and mail their ballots in accordance with the following procedure. After marking an (X) opposite the names of the candidate(s) for whom they wish to vote, and after filling in the information required on the detachable portion of the ballot form, the member shall thereupon detach such portion of the ballot and then fold and place the upper ballot portion in a plain envelope without affixing any signature, number or other means of identification thereon. After being securely sealed, this plain envelope shall then be placed, together with the detachable stub bearing the name of the member, address, lodge number and card number in an outer envelope bearing the word “Ballot” on its face. After being securely sealed, this envelope shall be returned by official government mail to the R.S. of the absentee member’s L.L. so that it will be received by or prior to the closing time of the polls specified in the notice of election. The R.S. shall turn over the inspectors of election all such absentee ballots unopened.
NOTES: (1) All candidates for Business Representative and Local Lodge Officers or positions must be members in good standing in accordance with the IAM&AW Constitution, District Lodge No. 75 Bylaws (where applicable) and Local Lodge Bylaws. (2) Candidates who receive the highest votes for the office of Business Representative shall be declared nominated/elected (whichever applies) in accordance with the IAM&AW Constitution and District Lodge No. 75 Bylaws. (3) Candidates for Local Lodge offices shall be declares nominated/elected in accordance with the procedures set forth in the IAM&AW Constitution, Local Lodge 2003 Bylaws or applicable pending motions prior to the election.
