IAM 401k Plan memo for all AFS employees
Important memo for all Army Fleet Support Union members. Check your mail and inform your spouse or significant other the importance of this information.
I have spoken to Tom Holt with the IAM 401K plan. He has stated that since the contract has been ratified and when they receive the new contract language, a letter will be sent to each employee's last known address as provided to them by AFS.
This letter will include information about the 401K and how to "opt-out" if you wish to do so. You will have 30 days to "opt-out". It is most imperative that you check your mail carefully each day and send back the information as requested by the due date.
A group with a renewal Collective Bargaining Agreement affective on or after January 01, 2007, automatic enrollment will apply and 3% of your wages will be automatically deferred and invested in the appropriate Manning & Napier Retirement Target Fund based on an expected retirement age of 65 unless you chose to "opt-out" within the 30 days.
REMEMBER: Check your mail and inform your spouse or significant other the importance of this information. Failure to do so will automatically enroll you into the plan.
