Day Eight of the AFS Negotiations
Another slow day and we’re still hashing out Article 35 and Overtime.
Here’s an important message – DON’T LISTEN to the rumor mill. The only facts are those coming from your Negotiating Team. If it doesn’t come from us, it’s simply not true.
We had a visit today from Jeremy Crutcher, our Union Steward wrongly fired by the company several weeks ago, and his baby daughter Kara. He came to show his support for the negotiators, his union, his co-workers, and the power of a union. Please remember to wear your black wristbands in support of bringing him back to work and remind the company we are not satisfied with them taking away our Finance and Accounting jobs and giving them to none bargaining unit employees. WE WILL continue to fight for these jobs.
We want to thank the folks that came up this afternoon to show their support. We have posted some of the photos. Click here for day eight photos
On a lighter note, at lunch the Committee recognized Secretary’s Day with some flowers for Communicator/Negotiator/Computer Whiz/Secretary Steve Crumb. Steve did admit it’s the first time he’s received flowers. Everyone noted they really brought out his eyes…
